Biography
Flávia Vieira works with textiles and ceramics in an installation context. Her work develops from the cultural, historical and political narratives inherent to the artisanal process, exploring notions of collective identity, memory and representation, botanical diaspora and otherness. She exhibits regularly in Portugal and abroad, particularly in Brazil where she has lived. Amongst others, his work is included in the collections of the Inhotim Institute (Brazil), the State Contemporary Art Collection - CACE (Portugal), the Municipal Art Collection of Lisbon City Council (Portugal), the Municipal Art Collection of Porto City Council (Portugal), and the Norlinda and José Lima Collection (Portugal).
